4. How quickly can Poplar deliver a fridge or freezer trailer?

Poplar refrigeration trailers require a 240V electrical supply to operate. They can be connected using either a 13-amp household plug or a 16-amp generator plug, depending on the available power supply.

Where mains electricity isn't available, Poplar can also discuss temporary generator hire as part of the refrigeration solution.

We do not recommend using an extension lead, as this can cause voltage drop and may result in the refrigeration unit tripping out. Where possible, the trailer should be connected directly to a suitable electrical supply.

8. Are Poplar fridge and freezer trailer doors lockable?

Yes. All Poplar fridge and freezer trailers have lockable double doors with rotary bolt handles, helping keep your stock secure during hire.
